Changes in Westridge Diversity Program

Dear Westridge Community,

As part of our ongoing efforts to update you on faculty, staff, and administrative changes, I am writing to inform you that Jasmine Love, Director of Equity and Inclusivity, will seek new professional opportunities after finishing her work with us at the end of June. Please join me in thanking her for her dedication to Westridge and its students.

During her two years with Westridge, Jasmine has led and organized many academic, organizational, and administrative projects and events. She has helped to build upon and promote many of the important conversations and exercises regarding diversity and inclusion that have been part of the Westridge culture.

After careful review of the school’s needs going forward and to further ensure the school’s financial health, the decision has been made to eliminate the position of Director of Equity and Inclusivity. However, our commitment to continuing to foster a more inclusive and supportive community as set forth in the Centennial Vision remains a priority. Next fall, the program will assume a different structure, in which a committee dedicated to inclusion and diversity will work with the school administration to guide programs and initiatives. The committee will draw from all areas of the community, including representatives from each of the school’s divisions, as well as from Westridge’s students, parents, and alumnae. Planning and details are underway, and the committee will be established and introduced this fall.
